Sophia Rossi — Venice Hotel Guide Author & Luxury Travel Writer
Sophia Rossi is a luxury travel writer and hotel curator specializing in historic and boutique hotels across Italy.
Born in Milan to an Italian father and an American mother, Sophia spent her childhood traveling between Northern Italy and the United States. She studied Art History and Hospitality Management in Florence before beginning her career in boutique hotel consulting, helping independent Italian hotels refine their guest experience and international positioning.
Over the past decade, Sophia has personally stayed in, reviewed, and researched hundreds of hotels across Venice, Florence, Rome, and the Amalfi Coast, with a particular focus on heritage palazzi, canal-side properties, and small luxury hotels that preserve the character of the city.
She created Venice Hotel Guide to offer a carefully curated alternative to booking engines — a place where discerning travelers can find honest, experience-based recommendations for the best places to stay in Venice.
Sophia now divides her time between Venice and Florence, returning to Venice several times each year to review new hotels, revisit trusted favorites, and update her guides based on first-hand experience.
